After finishing his Bachelor’s degree in classical trumpet in Spain, Carlos Rivero turned his focus to Early Music and studied a second Bachelor’s degree in cornetto at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen in Germany. He then moved to Basel, Switzerland, for his Master’s degree at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, and completed his studies at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, Netherlands, in 2025.

As a cornetto player, Carlos has performed across Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and the Netherlands, collaborating in a wide range of concerts and Early Music projects, including Capella Sancta Maria Amsterdam, Lutherse Bach Ensemble, Vox Luminis, and the Bayreuth Youth Festival, among others.
